Like a lot of people, I lost my job, then the house burnt down. This past winter I had a 6 car accident which left me paralyzed on my left side. Then my dog ran away. Thank God chess.com was there to help me keep my sanity.
Chess.Com is to chess, what a bottle of booze is to an
alcoholic!
After the accident, I couldn't dress myself. But thanks to my physical therapist, and chess.com, I'm able to move pawns again!

I'll be honest:
I think that chess.com is the second best correspondence site, the second best site for tactics training, and the best website for live chess (but second fiddle to the servers). It is in the top five for news. Its database features also put it in the top half-dozen. It has taken the top position for online chess forums and has unmatched social features. All in all, chess.com is the chess site at which I spend more time than any other. I log in daily.
One day we went out for a 3 hr cruise on a boat. We ended up being castaways on a deserted island for yrs. If it wasn't for chess.com, we would of killed each other.
