The chess.com coach looks a lot (suspiciously?) like Jonathan Schrantz, from YouTube.

His use of English is also pants, because it should be "rather than playing a strong move" or "rather than to play a strong move". You can't usually discern a person's character by their failings in English but you can in this case.

Illiterate as well.. how did he become coach in the first place? bribe and extortion?! geez..

I like 1.b4, what does this “coach” even know about chess. He probably has never even played a game yet offers people advice. What a fool smh

Do you find that no-one really knows how to play 1. b4? I mean, when the game goes 1. b4 ... e5 2. Nb2 ... f6 no-one really knows how to handle it. I must have played the black side of that maybe 40 times, and no-one playing white has understood how to play it. It's got so I wouldn't remember what to do if they played e4 and f4.

I was reading "Play 1.b4" by Yury whatshisname (oh yeah it was Yury Lapshun) and apparently it's:

bro what is the chess.com coach even thinking smh. bobby fischer once said "b4 is best by test"

if b4 is good enough for someone like fischer, then it's obviously good enough for us

it was good enough for international master yury lapshun to write an entire book on it

I read the book cover to cover in a few hours without a board (because I was lazy and i borrowed it at a cafe)

and then I played it against an 1800 in a 90+30 SD 30+30 tc which lasted four hours and won
