Erik,

I have joined the site, and I must say I'm very impressed with the UI.  Not only is it simplified, it's attractive as well!  One suggestion I can make, however.  Why not create an analysis board in which the operator (the coach) can control the movement of the pieces, while the observers in the chat room associated with it (the students) can only watch and comment or ask questions.  In this way, the chess coach can give online interactive lessons to his chess kids.  With this addition, the site would be OUTSTANDING.

BTW, Erik, my degree in Information Technology has a special emphasis on visual communications, so I like to think I know a little about site UI's.  Whoever designed your chesskid site has a great eye.

The play versus the computer link does not work from the Learn top level menu graphic.

I like the playing with an advantage workouts.  7 year old can win with an extra rook (put a hole in the wall and get the rook though) , Kindergardener not yet Smile

hi i have a question my opponent forfieted on time but i still didnt win the game

Kacparov

At least 3 moves have to be played for a win to count.

JuicyJ72

When you complete a computer workout problem it doesn't mark it complete with the checkmark like it does on chess.com

titled players will get free upgrades just like on chess.com.

Where should I submit my title? :)

dpruess

send patzer24 a message with your chesskid account name.

Conflagration_Planet

Now is that really fair?

Puchiko

Why not? Titled players serve as a magnet, they attract their fans.

Conflagration_Planet

I didn't know tittled players had fans unless they happened to be world class, or near it.  I guess there's a lot about chuss I just don't know.

Archerknight

Im a kid and will check it out. :)

Edit: Great site! Love the cartoony bits. Personally, sinced I'm an advanced (ish) player, there needs to be a few more advanced bits.

Overall, a great website and I hope it improve into an even better website. (Even better then this?)

I want to know how to keep my original chess.com account as I want to be a coach in the new chesskid platform, this will be better than starting a new account

You can have an account on here and create one on ChessKid as the two aren't merged.

Help me understand the fees.  Is it @ 50 bucks per year/per kid no matter how many kids you sign up?  What if I run a club for a school, do I get a discount for signing up 10+ kids or something?
