New Year's Resolutions

It's nearly that time of year again! What will you commit to - to make you a better person, bring about World Peace, etc. ?

I'm shooting for ...

- getting my win rate up to 50%!

...Or your loss rate down to 50%?

I think I need to shoot for killing procrastination and needless time-wasting. Oh wait, let me check my emails that I just checked an hour ago... and let me make that one last move before bed...

Or maybe I can strive to be as interesting a guy as you are Art (not being facetious, I enjoy many of your intelligent post topics and want to encourage you to keep on posting).

I resolve to make fun of people who just don't get it. Same as last year's resolution, but why throw the saddle on another horse when you're riding a winner.

  to not get so mad when I lose a chess game

  to practice more patience

  to stop bad nervous habits

  to be a better person overall

did you stop singing the little song?

To be a grandmaster by next year :D

1) To keep up on my studies regularly

2) To quit playing the ICC computers when I can't find a real game right away

3) To keep up on my annotation diary

4) To have fun!

Isn't it the time of the year to look what you did with your last year's resolutions

My last blunder of 2010 will be to resolve not to blunder in 2011.

ok ... 2011, first resolution: to actually give a serious effort to learning more about chess and to join a chess club and/or (at least) enter in one tournament...

second: i like the board i have, but I'd like to get a new chess set :)

(I don't have a good record of accomplishing new year's resolutions so..)

third: to keep my new year's resolution this time ...

I resolve to refine my trolling techniques and also to get unblocked by Windbag Sev ... ah ... I mean Windoze Sevin.

go too many to list for next year, can't be bother, anyone want to hear it ?

lose my wieght, get rid of the 3kg of spare tyre.

fixed up house, alots ! about 20 things to do and the list just go on .....

improve on chess, not sure to join up club

save about $400 a month so my older boy can to Europe in Oct for school trip

$25,000 loan to paid off.

start a vegi garden ?

save up for my younger son he may need plate for his teeth.

tony, he is not american, so odds are english is not his first language.  you should be nicer about grammar and spelling on an international chess site. 

Um don't Australians speak English ? 

nah, they speak british, which is a bastardization of english.  i am not sure why they even claim it to be english, i think british is much more accurate. 

   Yeah, I stopped being so nutsy about losses. Things are somewhat normal now
