Points swing around much more when players are new. Once you've played a number of games and found your level, things will settle down a little.

To start of with yes but believe me the more games u play the lower ur points gained win lose or draw it will even out dont u worry....

First of all, hey there everybody.
I'm pretty new to the site, which I kinda discovered having recently started playing chess on facebook. I think the chess they have there is powered by this site or something like that. Its pretty much the same design anyway.
I've started 5 games (Plus the unrated welcome one), and just complete one yesterday, when this other guy calls me a cheat !
What ticked him off was the fact that I gained some 320points in ranking all of a sudden. Now I also happen to find this pretty weird, but its hardly my fault.
Of the four other games I have running, I think I should be able to win 3, which will lift my ranking close to 2000 !!! I'm far from being a 2000 player !
At facebook, I'm ranked 1535, with 53wins and 28losses, 0draws.
Yahoo, I'm ranked 1374, with 300wins, 316losses, 24draws.
At those sites, you'd never gain 300+ points per game, which is what seems to be happening with me here (Same for losing btw..I'd lose 200-300 points per match). Depending on your opponent and your current rating, it would vary between 5 and 20 points at most there.
Question is, is that normal here ?!
If not, what do you suggest I do ?!
