Pfren is just Pfen - many folks mistake his brutal straightforwardness as insulting (didn't see the post in question, but a general observation).
I'm pretty sure the fried liver as a whole is not as good as the lolli (6. d4)
Dan Heisman in Chess Life pretty much refuted the Lolli as a winning attempt. Houdini 3 Pro continues 6...Nxd4 7.c3 b5! 8.Bd3 h6 9.Qh5 hxg5 10.Qxh8 e4! 11.cxd4 exd3 12.O-O with about an equal position.
Please don't talk about things you have no clue about.
6...Nxd4 is indeed the only really good move, when after 7.c3 b5 8.Bxd5 Qxd5 9.f3, white will win a piece for two pawns and a compact Black center. Initially engines say about equal, but if you do some serious analysis (can you? I guess not...) it becomes clear that white has the advantage.
Your Fried Liver line is silly, too. After 8...Ncb4! 9.0-0 c6 10.d4 Qf6 11.Qe2 Black's best is 11...Ke7 (letting the LSB to develop freely) and this position has been exhaustively analysed- white has no advantage after either 12.Ne4, or 12.de5.
You could use your Houdini to analyse these positions, but I'm afraid this task is simply too heavy for your skills.
Ok... so I just logged on to chess.com, and I'm really surprised that there r so many comments. Not that that's not a good thing, but I really wasn't expecting this many comments, or I wouldn't have left 2 weeks for nominations. I think in the future, I'll probably do a 1 week nomination period, and 2 week voting period. But again, it's great that so many people are responding, because the ultimate purpose of this contest is to make people aware if the great contributions that trolls are making, and juding from the number of comments, it looks like the contest is starting to achieve its purpose. Thanks for the comments, and I'll get all of the new nominations straigntened out and added to the list ASAP.

And your point is? Like I said, he doesn't go out of his way to state things in a polite manner. You can argue if anying he said was untrue. So: read the content OR ignore his posts. That's always a choice.

My first point is showing the post in question and my second point is that Pfren insulted him first. Implying that a guy is a moron (you can argue about the semantics of whether 'moron' is the most appropriate descriptor but you get the point) is an insult. Even the very first sentence Pfren says is condescending. As for you saying 'You can argue if anying (sic) he said was untrue,' the truth value of if a guy is a moron is hard to prove. You don't imply a guy is a moron for no reason when a guy posts his opening analysis. Pfren was in the wrong here and you can try to defend him however you want, he was still wrong there.
I can read the content or ignore the posts, but when I see a titled player imply a guy is a moron basically 4 times for no reason, when nobody asked for the title player's opinion, that is wrong. You're right though, he doesn't go out of his way to state things in a polite manner. He goes out of his way to be a jerk.
I sorta got the impression that IM pfren had seen his work on other threads. The Fried Liver was not the first, but one in a long line of threads with inane analysis, always computer generated, and done in the worst possible way. The evidence available to anyone who looks through sloughterchess's activity should be that his chess skill is marginal, and his understanding of how to use computers to evaluate a position somewhat less than that.
Could IM pfren found a nicer way to point out that sloughterchess was spouting nonsense. Yes. English is rich with terms that communicate the point. Drivel. Hogwash. Dog vomit. Bullsh*t. ...

By itself, it 's a little out of context. But sloughterchess initially posted a thread where he claimed he could beat Houdini3 in the Two Knights Defense. It turned out he was forcing Houdini to play garbage moves, and when anyone else (including pfren, I think) attempted to debate or challenge what he was doing, he either insulted that poster or ignored them and just added more garbage posts to that thread. When that thread finally died a merciful death, he just started up a new one doing the same thing.

that helps explain it i guess. I just quoted pfren's post because it was the first post in response to sloughterchess so I didn't think it was out of context (and people could look at the thread anyways). I figured sloughterchess was being sincere and didn't know he was a troll which is what it sounds like.
