I was just looking at that game whilst you were posting. I used to watch Gallagher's games in the Hastings Challengers when I was a youngster, before he was a GM (before he was even a master, I think). He has a very uncompromising style (and he plays the King's Gambit) that make his games very entertaining for spectators.
surely sandbagging is somewhat cheating? your rating doesnt reflect your true rating therefore it's defeating the purpose. i think it was made up to 1300 anyway. i may be wrong. when is this kicking off anyway?

Ok folks, I am ready to start. Everyone who wants to play me , and is eligible, please challenge me. To be eligible you should be 1300 or less and a premium member. When you challenge me be sure I am playing white , the game is unrated, and the time limit is 2 or 3 days per move. I wish everyone good luck !
alright, to clarify a little, the following people have all "pre-registered" for the event and should go ahead and issue their challenges to reb, as he indicated: set it so he has white, so it is unrated, and make it either 2 or 3 days per move. anyone else who wants to join in (and is u1300 and a premium member)) is welcome to, just send your challenge right along, and also please post in the forum, so i have a record of who is playing! here are preregistered players (note, even if you are over 1300 now, if you are on this list, you may issue your challenge):

Whenever I google my name, I get some CEO in Australia (and since my name is extremely rare, that's a mite perplexing).
I have played GM Gallagher twice , lost both games. He is a very nice fellow and I got him to autograph the kings gambit book he wrote. If only all GMs were so nice ....
