no way! that is EXTREMELY unlikely. we only use top-tier ad networks, so that is nearly impossible.
did you take a screenshot? was it a popup or a banner, what did it show? please message me the answer privately so i can look into this.

Now there is a development in creating revenue for Chess.com. PORNO!!!!!!!!
I would like to see some participation (clarification) from the staff, Don Erik & Co. Their opinion is MIA.
I have NOT seen such advertising on Chess.com but I also do not see any denial either from Don Erik or his team.

you mean platinum membership = firefox + the new adblock plus? Well that is life - two good things (ff, abp) are slightly (inadvertantly) interfering with the growth/sustainment of a third good thing - chess.com.

This isn't really true. Chess.com only receives revenue from the ads if they are clicked on. So there's no difference to chess.com between not clicking on the ads and not displaying them at all. Someone who uses an adblocker wouldn't be clicking the ads even if they were forced to see them.

this isn't really true :) we get paid per impression, so that does hurt us. :(

Sometimes I come to chess.com and don't log in... just so I can click on all those ads to make sure that this place is getting as much money as it can. I just feel that my $7.99(NZ) a month just isn't enough to keep up the standard I expect from this site.
