Posting of girly photos on chess.com

Adolescent girls join chess.com free of charge, play no chess, but post dozens of snaps of themselves in silly poses. In one day their pics have hundreds of views, I imagine men the culprits.

Some get a few pathetic comments that are very exagerated at times. These girls are abusing the photo feature on chess.com.

The rule should be you can post pics after completing a given number of games.

And there should be another rule.

No member should be able to go into their content and rename it with "xxxx" and replace the first post with "xxxx"

Hi, friend. I read about your trolling habits on the forums. Maybe you can help me, buddy. How can you remove a thread that you started?

Deletions appear to me to be the only way to erase one's comments and content when you so desire.

I wonder why you sound so angry over a pittance.

You know pal, that most threads have a limited lifetime and the comments and interest in the thread dies away.

Perhaps, you also would like to delete some of your threads and comments at times.

Do you ever feel ashamed of your public comments and unfortunately aggressive tone?

I had the thought that perhaps many threaders would hope that byou just die away!

Hope these comments are helpful to further your growth in graciousness, friend

Abuse: v, to use wrongly or improperly

The problem with this definition is that everyone thinks they get to define what "wrongly" and "improperly" entails. IMO, "abuse" essentially means the same as "use." To some people a certain kind of "use" is wrong and improper, while others fail to comprehend why some people consider it to be an issue at all.

Some pictures were really meant to be uploaded.

Sorry you sound very offended by my comment. You missed the whole point of my thread when you jumped the gun with your barb.

I suggested that anyone wishing to post photos should first complete some chess games.

There are many social media sites for non chess playing girls who want to display their teenage pics, they should go to these and not abuse chess.com.

I realise that the comment  'get over it' is an angry remark by someone who has missed the point at hand, or is unable to grasp the intent of what was said.

No worries, I don't take offence.

I don't think you can so easily tell how he/she feels. I mean, say a person disagrees with you, landwehr. What can they say that wouldn't sound like they were offended?

"I disagree with you, but I'm not offended." Laughing

Interesting, this has been brought up a few years ago.

I disagree with this completely, but I am not offended either!  :-)

Problem is that you can't NOT see an image in a thread.

Go on, try:

Did you NOT see the drinks?

Bet you did.

Once you've seen it, you can't unsee it!

That depends on how you define "see." In a literal sense, if you want to unsee the image you can just close the window. In the most commonly used figurative sense then yes, you can't unsee it. It's always there in your memory.

To the OP: I haven't see ther photos lately and let me guess where they usually come from, the Philippines is that right ?

So I guess the only argument left is: If you don't like the pictures, too bad!

1. We can still see the titles of your old threads in the url bar even though you've changed most of the names to xxxx.

2. You are referring to a very, very old thread in post # 4.

The latest girls are from the USA and India. I don't dislike the photos, they are harmless snaps, much like you might take and then delete from your digital camera when you are sober.

There are appropriate social media forums for this sort of publishing and it is not chess.com.

Having to complete chess games before publishing photos would preclude this splashing of adolescent snaps that are of no real interest to anyone.

To corrijean: You mean nos 14 ?

You'd have to be pretty thin skinned to take offense at that though wouldn't you?

'Get over it' is a phrase that seems to shout at someone, 'I don't care just shut up'

I agreed with what you are saying except for the last part, plenty of young boys go for it, I've see it too.

No, I'm pretty sure most of the lines in post #4 are from a forum thread I read in past times.
