I am hoping someone that is considered a chess master will answer this, and would they like it ... Imagine a chess variant where the queen side castle the king could do three slides instead of two. Would that be good? I think maybe ... by having the 3 slide the king would be in the spot on the other side as a king side castle.
On this move 0-0-0+ King slides to b1, rook to c1.

#2 pawn movement ... Imagine a pawn capture, now two pawns are on the same rank. In this variant rule if a pawn wants to move and there is a pawn directly behind it (same color) the pawn can slide 1 space sideways if that square is empty. Reason: the play could reform a pawn chain. Is that a good idea? I think maybe or maybe not. I am far from an expert on mid game and end game. I think chess maters will sacrifice a higher value piece to make what I call stacked pawns, just to make a break in a pawn chain, so that in a few moves later they can promote a different pawn. If that is a common tactic, then I feel my answer is ... that side pawn movement is a bad idea.
