I have a question about ratings. When are ratings updated? I'm in a tournament, and I won my first game (of two) against a specific opponent. I won based on time, not by making any moves. My rating is unchanged, even though my record is now 1-0-0.
1) Does the rating calculation skip games where the other player doesn't make a move? (If so, I think that's a great rule.) (BTW, I have mixed feelings about having the game even show up on my permanent record, even through I understand why it needs to be on the tournament record.)
2) If not, does the rating calculation wait until both games are played?
