But there is nothing like the human being telling another human being something, you know there was time before computers/engines and I wasn't even born before that age, and I know the importance on 1v1 conversation even online.
So it is not so much the engines as they help but they don't always (or really never) give a clear understanding and therefore are limited to a certain point. It is like the difference in watching math videos instead of getting 1v1 help with a teaching in math class, if you know where I am coming from.
It is different and of course communication is better, no it won't be perfect(as we are human beings) but it is much better than being a loner with a great technology. What good is such a great technology if people don't understand it or use it to the best of their ability? Knowing this it is useless without proper guidance especially in the beginning stages of analysis and explanation in chess. I say this because chess is not necessarily the easiest board game to understand, especially when you add the strategy, so communication is key and if the forums looked more upon it with structure it would definitely aid people, even so if it is "rubbish" to a certain point as it is still helpful.
Also since there are different people in the forums there are different point of views, strategies and witnesses and because of this is draws the better benefit for the lower rated players and intermediate players while it gives productivity and meaningful action to the higher rated players in the chess community in chess.com.
My solution is to have the forums be structured more like stackexchange so that good answers and questions get upvotes and vise versa
