But on a platform for young kids? I dont think XXX content should silenced, it should be talked about and prevented. I think a company that makes 100s of millions of usd revenue a year should be ashamed of themselves, ive seen it in forum, blogs, teams etc THIS NEEDS TO STOP

yes, and...

Abtectous
I’ve never seen nsfw content on chess.com so I’m confused, how/where did you see this content?

Exactly - ChessAGC_yt and beady-boy have no interest in a rational dialog or honest debate because they are trolling you. Probably both the same 10yo giggling kid.

If you see something against the TOS report it directly to staff using the option in the menu.

With thousand of clubs, easily tens of thousands of comment areas, and close to 100,000 new accounts each day, not everything is going to be caught.

Yall just need me as mod… I’d bring some life back to this place 😎

Those are all good points, but its gotten way worse(just my personal opinion.) I think Being a moderator should come with cool perks, that way more people monitor all areas.

It's pretty much impossible to monitor everything.

ATM015

Dont you have 500 staff and even more mods? Double the amount of mods, Maybe make cool perks for only Mods, so that they are motivated to find stufd

With that being said, you as a site are not allowed to have the public under the age of 18 according to many laws... People trust this site with their kids, and you (chess.com) failed... oh wait, it's a lawsuit now. Better call Erik, tell him to slip me a nice five thousand, and we’ll make sure the court never hears about this...

The majority of staff work in roles devoted to running the site and support related functions. The site would probably need full time staff to monitor content areas and still would miss things, unless they implemented a content feed.

Even in that case it would probably take a large team to catch most things and probably still would miss things.

The site is 13+ and handles inappropriate content as soon as it's known.

N.1 13 year olds are kids, N.2 ive seen so many U13s theyre bragging abt being e.g 7 or maybe 9. Those kids dont read TOS. And i specifically said double moderators, not staff. Ik staff is in support, developing etc more, but rhey should still sometimes be able ro hwlp out

There's no rule against that. Hasn't been for a long time.

An unwritten rule you dont know abt maybe? Anyway i do think chess.com Mods use their powers unfairly a lot. Im not calling names, but i think many do

I remember on the forums, I was arguing with one guy about who was cooler etc etc, and out of nowhere, he posted a full-screen photo of a postmortem surgery. It stayed on the forums for, I’m pretty sure, more than five minutes… I was 18 at the time, and it wasn’t sweet...

I can’t even imagine how that would mess with a 14-year-old, though.

Bottom line, there’s no excuse for letting stuff like that affect minors—13 and up are still considered minors, no question
