Resigning after he saw a Queen lose!

One of the most irritating things that players just quickly resign after losing a Queen or any important piece. For me, as a beginner I never resign even if it was obvious from the start I'm losing. Look at today's game: https://www.chess.com/analysis/game/live/77726422547

I did horrible mistakes that made me losing a Queen and be in a horrible siege from the initials, but I continued as always.. Then after a check with his Queen I was deciding how to run, I saw him resigning very quickly! I realized quickly that I was able to win his Queen! What a disregarded act!! I haven't left when you was superior to me! Eventhough his position is still a winning position even if I eat his Queen!

I used to do that all the time, but I stopped and now I win way more games

why would that be annoying, you get free rating and the game isnt prolonged.

Personally i resign instantly if im down anything more than a peice, but thats because theres almost a 0% chance i will win down a peice against the players at my level.

I usually do it, blundering my queen makes me feel like absolute crap and I don't wanna continue. I respect people who do.

If the overall score of the game is a difference of 5 pawns or greater. The game is all but over save a serious blunder or two by the winning player

Depending on who you ask a queen is worth 8 or 9 pawns

Also. When one or both queens get taken off, the end game has begun.

You could hope to stalemate with only your king left. That happens all the time.

Actually this is a great eye opener so thanks for this thread. I've realized I do this because I rely too much on my queen when weighing up moves or tactics, and without her, I really have no idea what I'm doing. Imma work on improving this.
