Are you baiting the bear?
Sorry! That's a nice article about chess and religion btw. I think it doesn't bring a specifically religious discussion, although things could have escalated in the comments section.
Well, the rules for articles are different than the rules for the forums... and in June 2007, I doubt there were any specific posting rules nor moderators to enforce them. I was just joking because I was posting a "religious" topic in the forums. I'm pretty sure a topic connecting religion to chess would be permissible, but, as you say, the comments, because many people have little self-restraint, would most likely eventually get it locked.
And if religion had never been mentioned it most likely would have never been an issue. But...now that it has...
In the old times there was always a sign saying "no religion, no politics (among other things)" on a wall at the bars, just above a thick stick.
Well think of this as a bar - but without alcohol or a stick.
Wouldn't the moderators be the stick?

It doesn't matter... I made my presentation and have no regrets in locking it.

Nice forum batgirl
Well, it's spacious, uncrowded and on a nice corner lot.
And you dont get direct sunlight.
I'm curious about one thing. Next to the señorita's name in the Last comments list there's a golden star instead of a blue pawn.
