Isn't it about time you went ahead and explained everything?
So Many New Features Coming Soon!!

Please check the new chess.com toolbar. I was really happy with it when I first installed it, including the neat radio station player. However, many pages on my web browser started loading very very slowly or not at all. I couldn't properly load youtube anymore on internet explorer 8. I have a dsl connection with a fairly new computer with intel core duo and windows 7. Then my live365 desktop internet radio application stopped working and I couldn't even play live365 internet radio using my browser. I uninstalled chess.com toolbar and rebooted and my browser and radio365 started working again. youtube loaded real fast after that

thanks everyone for sharing the things you want! this is helpful to know. obviously we can't make every feature for everyone, but exercises like these are helpful.
so, here are the main things we're doing right now:
- chess.com university (david posted news on this today)
- site template redesign (hopefully done in 4-5 days)
- chess.com + facebook integration (4-5 days, and one little surprise in there!)
- desktop client (coming in 2-3 weeks)
- Live Chess 3 (some HUGE improvements in there - 2 months away)
- and one little secret small thing that i'll surprise you with in the next few days :)

Two surprises and a secret!!?!?!??!!
Wow, Erik! This is sure to be one of the best site improvement packages yet!

Live Tournaments would be great!
And I'm curious about the Facebook integration. We need to get a cash prize if we're the best player among all out friends!
On second thought, I'm friends with Nakamura on FB. So maybe not.
Will the release of Live Chess 3 call for cleared ratings?
Thanks for this site Erik. It's a great place!

No, that's just live chess 2 with some improvements. Live chess 3 is supposed to be a whole new thing.

I've heard that if you stare into the new Live Chess screen and say "Live Chess 3" thrice then erik appears behind you (the real erik... burnt face, hook hand, peg leg etc.... not that Wayne Rooney lookalike image we've come to associate with the site owner) and closes all your accounts at the competition sites. Spooky.

I saw the chess.com university, should be interesting. Everything else is all great, and will only take a matter of days/weeks. Arggh I can't take it, this site just keeps getting better and better!

You figured out a way for David_Neff to become mature?

Dr. Ouachita's Chess Clinic?
Ouachita's account was closed. This would be too much respect for one player.
Such a "clinic" would involve the following analysis:
"I don't like this move"
"This move is not very strong"
"This move scores best in the database"
Yeah... We are in such dire need of that kind of deep insight into our game.
Anyway, with regard to live chess 3, I certainly hope one of the improvements is to actually start black's clock when white makes the first move. I've gotten to where anyone that stalls more than ten seconds as black while they figure out a reply to 1. b3 makes me abort the game on general principle.
Analyze w/ Fritz on the desktop. Chess.com should add this to their computer analysis.
A security system to prevent cheating. Other chess variants in both correspondence and live.
we have that.
