T-shirts?

"I breed monkeys...I also play chess"
"Bishop to e9!"
Arguably I don't have a mainstream sense of humour.
~ Jordan

I'd settle for the Chess.com logo at the back of a white shirt. The front could have sayings like:
"Need a mate? Play chess!"
"Chessers are thinkers."
"Ben Franklin. Napoleon. Voltaire. Jefferson. Freud. Eistein. Cervantes. Saint Teresa of Avila. MYSELF. Chessplayers all. What a group!"
And while we're at it, why not a baseball cap with the Chess.com logo up front?

You've opened the flood gates Erik
I'd definitly purchase all of the above (especially Polos, Mousemats, and Coffee Mugs). I'd cover my desk at work with the stuff

I think a blown-up full sized logo on the t-shirts would look best, covering as much of the front as possible with space to tuck-in the shirt (for those that like/are required to do so, such as some school uniform requirements).
A small logo would look best embroidered on the polos imho.
I'm not a big fan of pockets on any shirts but button ups personally.

what about light coats , for fall or just chillidays. i like just the white t-shirt with the logo something easy. were i live people dont wear polo. very simple round here. |

Chess.com T-shirt ideas: This starts as brainstorming, but I hit a few I think are pretty good. This is how I do marketing in real life anyway... here goes!!
===============================================
Chess.... It's not just for breakfast anymore.
Chess players mate better
Check... Your move.
Chess, It's actually from aliens.
Another idea; Have the word "Chess" in like 20 different languages and alphabets (sanskrit, chinese, russian, arabic, etc.)
Arabic: | لُعْبَةُ الشطرنج |
Chinese (Simplified): | 国际象棋 |
Chinese (Traditional): | 國際象棋 |
Czech: | šachy |
Danish: | skak |
Dutch: | schaak |
Estonian: | male |
French: | échecs |
German: | das Schachspiel |
Greek: | σκάκι |
Hungarian: | sakk |
Icelandic: | skák |
Indonesian: | catur |
Italian: | (gioco degli) scacchi* |
Japanese: | チェス |
Korean: | 체스, 서양 장기 |
Latvian: | šahs (spēle) |
Lithuanian: | šachmatai |
Norwegian: | sjakk |
Polish: | szachy |
Portuguese (Brazil): | xadrez |
Portuguese (Portugal): | xadrez |
Romanian: | şah |
Russian: | шахматы |
Slovak: | šach |
Slovenian: | šah (igra) |
Swedish: | schack |
Turkish: | satranç |
These words can be in different fonts spread out at different angles on the front of the shirt. Some bold, some italics, etc. At the top or bottom centered could say "The Game that Unites"
Others:
======================================
I can play chess better than you can play chess
Have a puzzle on the shirt and the text at the bottom "Checkmate in three". At the top, "Get your daily puzzle at Chess.com". This is engaging. People will actually study the shirt. Could be on the front or back. Front is better for me. Preferably it's a puzzle with few pieces such as one of the Fisher puzzles.

That's all for now.

I agree good idea! I'd prefer it on the back though.

...and here's two for fun:
"I mate better than I play chess."
"Want to mate me? Let's play."
Fun aside, this shirt design idea is really great, but with the tons of suggestions around, I think it would be better to narrow down our choices, pick the most popular (that's democracy!), and have the shirt sample printed and displayed on-line at Chess.com. Other items of interest (with their logo and designs) may also be displayed on-line. Better still, let's agree on one entity to handle both the manufacturing and marketing needs of all these items. We just act as idea generators and, of course, buyers for the end products.
Check! It's your move!
the white colour will be great
with black stripes
