no 4 without a doubt, there are two members I can think of straight off who just post rubbish posts of often one word to up their post counts.

You've got to expect repetition, I think, so I'll go with 'inane.'
Please don't get 'inane' confused with silly though. I like silly.

25. No individual post tracking: you can't find all of the individual posts made by a particular person (yourself or anyone else), nor do you get alerted when they post something (other than when they create a new topic).

Although I am a spelling fanatic, and take exception to poor spelling generally, what annoys me most about the forums is how often someone will post a comment scolding someone else for poor grammar or spelling. Most annoying, of course, are those scolds who themselves are guilty of the most appalling errors (or, fairly often, unaware of common and acceptable differences between Americans and our British cousins in the spelling of such words as "polarize").
This site welcomes chess players from around the world, many of whom speak English with some level of difficulty. Rather than insist, somewhat rudely, on the perfection of language, it would be better to take the opportunity presented in this space to listen and understand what the other fellow is trying to say, and to exercise some restraint when tempted to correct the apparent spelling mistakes of other members.

Plagiarism can annoy me: people who post a puzzle without mentioning the author, or a game without mentioning the players. Sometimes I recognise a puzzle, but I don't remember where exactly I've seen it before.

30. There no mechanism for marking threads as intended to be humourous/humorous, ironic, sarcastic, satirical, parody, burlesque, exagerated or double entendre.
(A woman walks into a bar and asks the barman for a double entendre. So he gives her one.)
everyone is entitled to speak their mind, it doesn't matter how people word their comments. Not every person is as literate and imaginative as the other. It is a site dedicated to chess not english or pholosophy.
An ever bigger pitfall is with tables larger than about 20 rows and with more than say 100 characters per row. These can suddenly and without warning, corrupt the entire thread after you innoculously added or amended a row.
When that happens, all you can do is delete the entire thread and re-input it, one post at a time - AS HAPPENNED IN THIS CASE.
join me in the group 666 if you are bored with the same topics ,very interesting indeed
Well said dommo, that's why we are elite, cause we don't give a monkeys of who's doing what, we're just doing it, point bas!
Woah! There's a lot of art we can do with some fizz!
By the way, you talk about all this stuff and complain about it, but you're doing it yourself, artfizz.

I've listed 30 aspects of the forums that various members think can be improved. Half of them were suggested by someone other than me. About half of them deal with functionality that is not currently provided.
The other half deal with posting in a manner labelled as: boring, inane, opinionated, irrelevant, snobbish, egotistical, rude, pedantic or ignorant. Such assessments are highly subjective.
I was conducting a survey to discover which aspects of posting would most benefit from enhancement, when chess.com turns its attention to that area of the site.
What is "it" that I am doing?

That would be helpful, thanks...
I'm annoyed by topic threads that deal with forum management more than chess. Let's ban those.
