@IAMBBW, the mysterious hmm'er of the forums

@IAMBBW prowls the forums and selflessly contributes his meaningful multifaceted 'hmm's.  many are irritated, as you can see on his wall and on the forums, but no one knows why. 

it intrigued me, so i asked him/her/it/them but the answers were a cryptic 'hmm' or 'hmm no' or 'hmm what'.  i'm sure they carry great meaning but the feeble mind of the bunny is unable to fathom the profundity.  so i turn to the community - the same community that helped so many members solve their greatest life issues like time lag, rematches and en passant.

perhaps the wise folk in the community can shed light on the hmms.

for those who have difficulty following the other thread, 1st i asked:

are you trying to revive the hansons?

and the answer was: Hmmm, nope

then i asked: or do you just like to think aloud and let everyone know you're thinking?

and the answer was: Hmmm, nah

already you can see the subtle yet immense variety in the responses and i was understandably further intrigued

and then with my next question, all hell broke loose

unbelievable!  there is a story to be heard here! and the bunny was too foolish to realise that he could not ask for it if he did not already know it.  amazing!

then the silly bunny thought perhaps it was a vocabulary issue but was quickly put in his place

such intelligence!  the bunny was stumped.  this obviously meant that a guessing game had to ensue before the mystery of the hmms could be revealed ...

so the bunny tried again

but the answer this time was: Hmmm, WHAT?

now who could be even prepared for a genius retort like that, leave alone a simple-minded lagomorph?

so i hope the community understands my dilemma.  the need to know the truth is a burning sensation not entirely unlike GERD.  so please have mercy on a poor bunny and enlighten me!

and before i forget, the mystery of @IAMBBW's handle.  i searched youtube and found this answer to the mystery.  please confirm i'm on the right track here ...
