i agree that hornet should be upset about the actions of staff. and now, their inaction for 26 pages.

responding to the op shouldn't take so long.

i have a prediction. staff will eventually write something here that is as vague as possible regarding their subjective rules, and then immediately lock this topic.

Given that the social aspect of the site (other than flairs and medals and self promotion on other social media) has been all but abandoned except for unclear policies with unpaid mods to interpret them while staff behind the green curtain wave their magic wand, what more should be expected?

It's a business and as one, they will virtue signal for PR and do whatever they need to do beneath the surface to keep the business running as they see fit.

The site may stand to lose much more than whatever's a top blogger status on a chess site is worth.

I don't know and I don't expect a response since that might open up another can of worms especially given how much effort they'd want to put into this. Maybe they'll have a new flair - "used to be top blogger".
