Heh well I enjoyed it as well.  Another thing is that if a user asks a question on the forum, he may have twenty people googling the answer and reporting back to him.  This is superior than the user doing the google search himself.  It's like twenty times the computing power that way.

There was a user called Nimzoroy who used to love reccomending search engines in every forum.

Yeah I knew that guy.  He would often post links to really shady search engines then berate people for not clicking the links.  I'd just rather ask my bros here than some nefarious porn bot.

I just used the Google to find out about Noah's Ark (since I just saw the film), and found out that the actual Noah's Ark not only existed, but was discovered in 1959 in Eastern Turkey!
