It took him so long I was wondering if he even knew blocking existed.
I think at first it was fun to receive attention even if it was negative, but when I started posting his games it got too uncomfortable for him. lol
Too easy.

Who are the five. You, me, A_A, ?
It's funny that he "respects" one of the site's biggest trolls (and whose friends' list is a who's who of banned repeat accounts).

Not that it matters. If he were a smart troll he'd just say that in a huff without actually bothering to report.
But since he's not, he probably did report... which will result in nothing happening of course.
Although it was interesting seeing him deflect, change the subject, and insult when I showed his opponent wasn't stockfish.
Online trolls are eerily similar to potus.
And I'm not saying that to get in a cheap shot, I really mean it.
I think if some popular pundits had the time to d!ck around online in the places children roam they'd notice it for themselves, draw some parallels, and hire a ghostwriter to write a book about it for them.

I've been muted twice. Once was completely bogus after I called out a troll--we were both muted; him first. The other was because I used to leave provocative messages on the walls of players IO suspected. I never wrote, "cheat", but rather things like some lyrics from a Bob Dylan song or references to a fishy smell.

I believe you. That’s why I don’t trust you. That, and when you post actual chess content, it always seems to be a game you played on another site.
When you call out a troll, eventually the troll will block you. I should receive a badge every time I earn such a block. maybe chessdotcom can create a Troll Hunter trophy.
Are we talking about that SF guy? In such case I've also been blocked

Sure, I've been muted too. It's pretty harmless. Lasts 24 hours unless you did something to really p!ss off the mods.
What did I do in his topic though? Post his games? lol. From what I remember you did even less.
But psychologically these people are interesting. A bored person who adopts the mantle of a troll, IMO, believes any attention is good attention, so this type doesn't block people.
In my way of thinking, there are two types of trolls who block, and both of them are pathological. For example in his case he may really believe he drew or beat stockfish and he may really believe this is an amazing achievement and his chess.com ratings are a lie. So he was honestly insulted when we pointed out the obvious truth.
The other kind of pathology, IMO, is some kind of antisocial personality disorder, where attention don't satisfy as much as abuse. Not many trolls on chess.com are like this. I think most are a pretty harmless mix of the first two.
Anglo2 has written
".. One guy got muted for speaking to himself, another for daring to mention a species of human being. I've not seen anything like it in my little life, and i've moderated the world's largest skating website (among many other things). " imo it is amistake of bot's program , before muted or ;it will start again an agin.
Worlwildinternet, is "youtube"clips music, it is nice to listen others musics, articles interestings or conferences which may help to improve.,until it is specified to not post some wise, clever, intelligents things ,which can "hurt" the sensibilty of eachone.
Chess com would be nice to explain why they mute or ban, block because imo it is abot thing, and chess com team is smart'people.
It gets rough when you block everyone who contributes to your thread. Suddenly, the arguments that bring you back to the site several times per day are no longer there. I feel for you child. I really do, but you brought in on yourself.
Yeah, little does he realize there are only two kinds of people who read his topic:
1) the kind who post in his topic to mock him publicly
and
2) the kind who don't post in his topic and mock him privately
