@moltin probs not a good idea to say that around the nazis that run this site. :\

Nazis convert just because of my presence

It's always cute when two fresh sock puppet accounts talk to each other .  A coincidence for sure.

2 sock puppets enter, 1 sock puppet leaves.  @lycheeseisbetter did not make it.

@MGleason: I was wondering about the kind of software you have that judges whether a message is "offensive" or not, and whether it covers foreign (to me) languages.

At one point, some gentleman that I had played earlier decided quite kindly to spam my "notes" page with messages in a foreign language.

Out of curiosity, I put the messages in Google Translate- and the result was highly offensive and vulgar.

He left about 8-10 notes in rapid succession. I deleted them all, but it certainly was irritating.

I'm afraid I cannot remember which language it was that he was speaking.

I don't think the auto-mod handles foreign languages, or if it does, it's probably limited.

Unfortunately, the auto-mod isn't hard to circumvent if someone is determined to be nasty.  It also occasionally has some odd false positives, like the time it rebuked a moderator for trying to talk to somebody with the screen name "GambitChess".  The last three letters of "gambit" and the first two of "chess"...

Thanks @MGleason. If necessary to prevent idea-spreading, you can delete both our posts if you want happy.png

If someone is abusive, you can report them by using the "Report" button on their profile:

Alternatively, you can use this link: https://support.chess.com/customer/portal/emails/new

Or select Report Abuse under the Help menu.

Chess.com takes abuse seriously.  However, given the number of members, it's simply not possible to have staff and moderators everywhere.  So some things can only be addressed if they're reported.

Why is it Hikaru?

MGleason

I would have done Erik, but he doesn't have the report button on his page; I guess you would have to use the link to contact staff if you want to report him.  They probably took it off staff because of getting spammed with troll reports.

So then I would have done myself, but I don't see a report button when I look at my own page.

So I chose Hikaru.

Good idea.
