Why do tournaments have time controls that are so slow?
cause you actually think about good moves
You have plenty of time to think in 5|0
you dont, blitz is usually filled with less accurate moves and more with blunders
As a 3|0 player, I don’t get why you would offer a draw when you have 5 minutes left.
Clearly you haven’t played a game where you’ve been pushing for hours upon hours upon hours only to encounter stubborn resistance, burning time to no avail but never having “that finishing blow”, looking at your clock and wondering where the hell did your time go??
I think I've played enough blitz to play a decent endgame down on the clock, but it also depends on the rating of my opponent. I would almost never offer a draw against a lower rated player. If there is no increment I would be worried, but in a 90+30 game, I feel I would be able to make a plan even if I only use 30 seconds per move.

it really depends yeah. But just saying that "5minutes is plenty of time what do you mean?" is just ignorant.
