However, he has a flatulence problem which can be a little off putting. Would it be fair if I insisted opponents had to play with their own pet-based distraction?

I assumed you meant: "which is the best in a chess sense?"

Chessroshi

This is my late cat Cody Bear. He loved hanging out at chess time, for hours, he was a chess junkie just like me.

Theodred

Well I tried getting my friend's dog to play chess. I always wondered what happened to his white pawns.

Dogs do it for me!

Probably cats but I really don't care.

             Both are equally lovable!Smile

But,from my experience i have noticed that cats are more intelligent & plan very well all their actions as we do in chess! Their emotions are more intense than dogs. Also, i have noticed that they have a sixth sense!

But when it comes to love,i love them equqally as love is something beyond all criterias & comparisons & i am sure they all give us back in multiples in a more pure & unconditional way!!!

Don't dogs and cats more usually ATTRACT insects?

Let me ammend my response so it will be chess related:

My cat climbs up my back while I am playing on chess.com and licks me with his scratchy tongue.  Kiss

oxydizer

Join the crowd, mine jumps onto my shoulders from the table, which is about 4 feet behind me.

logsmith

In my opinion and experience, cat's are smarter, and are more suited for people who enjoy a less strenuous life style. Not necessarily lazy people, as some have asserted on this forum

You can make the argument that dogs are more playful, but cats can be just as playful, typically with their owner.

I think its a matter of preference; if you don't mind the smell and the work, dogs rock.

Personally, I like cats by just a little bit more.

quietude...

logsmith

oh yeah, and my kitty sits on my lap while i play

big stupid dogs cant do that...

Olimar

unless its a small stupid dog :D
