NOT spending time on the forums is WHY they're titled!
Why Aren't Titled Players More Active In The Forums?
@Boxjellyfish is very active in some of the clubs I'm in like banana galaxy
Seriously? That garbage club with no activity?
there is plenty of activity idk what you talking bout
"Just chatting" clubs can be great if that is what the person is looking for. Join clubs which fit with your wants and needs; if you want a club for chess improvement, then a "just chatting" club probably isn't too helpful with that.
Let's try to keep this thread on topic to the original question if there are more posts though ![]()
Yeah, that was brought up on the first page of this thread ![]()
I more meant helpful advice and just "hanging out" in the forums though and not as much about advertising courses or similar things.
Also, titled players tend to be bookish and inside their heads all the time, and they generally are not known for their wit. The forums tend to attract the genuine wits(myself, @Idilis, @HiramH) and the titled players are busy participating in and/or winning tournaments!

A stereotype I feel. There are many titled players at the club I've been to a couple times. The other time time it was two NM's, one WCM, the WCM's sister, an expert, and a guy my level. I'm pretty sure the idea that strong players are nerdy/awkward/lack humor is simply not true, they seemed pretty chill as far as i could tell.
I imagine most titled players are too busy playing, training, or coaching to have time to visit the forums.
Working on chess tends to suck all the hours out of the day.
It's also not the most productive for them to comment on the forums, anyway. They often get idol worshipped or argued with - neither of which are likely appealing ...
It's nice when the rare few do stop by, though. Like celebrities, dropping in to say hi to us common folk.
This should be a social duty to help low rated chess players. So IMO Titled players should come forward.
There are 5 pages of comments so I am not reading all of them, but let me just respond to this one. PLEASE. NO. Social duty to come onto the forums?? These ones?? You see the stuff on here? Why should they receive punitive measures for reaching a high level in chess?
Don't get me started on box lol
