If you want to know the story, read it here: http://www.chess.com/news/chesscom-welcomes-chesspark-members-2379

It had to happen, and it had to happen fast. Sometimes it's rough running a website!

Woah...

Isn't it wonderful to have staff here that are so great at not only coping, but improving the site at the same time? Thanks Erik and co.!

Oooh. What fun! New players! Welcome one and all!

Do they bring their chess park ratings with them?

An idea would be to offer all ex-Chesspark members joining Chess.com to play a game with a currrent Chess.com members, at +/- 500 points of their rating to help them navigate the site.

Did Erik's link in the 1st post in this topic shed any more light?

I was a chesspark member long time ago, just saw Atila Turzo writing an article for chess.com few days ago and no the news thats great more people to join :) As for the ratings, no need to join the ratings, it is a completely different world chess.com or chesspark, I was on their top 10 or 5... here lucky me when I go above 1900 Laughing they will get a fair rating really fast if they just start playing regularly. But if they get their rating I would love to get my 2500++ in my account here :)

For  members of chesspark that came over to Chess.com i've created a group for you.

Once members have started joining, i can make one of the members super admin and hand the group over to you.
