why does chess.com keep crashing/stalling my browser?

since v3, the site has had issues with unresponsiveness. the last 2 months or so, i find there are times when i simply cannot load my current correspondence games (ie. 404 page) or i get a crash and dc in live chess, much more than i have ever had previously (let me count the rating points...), and crashing much more than i do with any other site that i use with my otherwise stable cable internet (north america).
i'm sure there is a forum that chess.com would rather have this in, and this is such a general complaint that i'm sure it will get moved, but i thought it should be in general chess.com community because i'm honestly wondering if this isn't a very large problem for a very large proportion of users. there have also been notable issues with live events, see aronian disconnection issues during the chess.com speed chess championships, which may or may not have been at issue with the chess.com backend, and i personally have found that the responsiveness of the site has been for the last 2 or so months just below par.
sorry about reposting if this is already discussed ad nauseum in the technical forums, i just thought it belonged here too about now. (as i've had one too many loading problems this week, and it's a monday...)
