They're still allowed, so they're not discriminated against. Chess.com has issue with the flag, not the people. Not saying one should necessarily agree. It's just following the olympic guidelines for international competition which is to allow Russian players but without their flag (unlike Wimbledon who didn't allow Russians to play and created a mess this way). There is actual international competition on Chess.com so I guess they just followed the guidelines.

Yes, I understand the stuff going on in Ukraine, but it’s not like being Russian means you took part in the war! I don’t understand, because it’s not their fault Putin’s been acting up. I wish they understood that. I’m not saying I’m for Putin, I’m saying I wish there wasn’t discrimination towards Russians who didn’t have anything to do with the war. Russian players are still allowed on Chess.com, so why discriminate against them like this? They did nothing wrong, it’s Putin’s fault, not theirs. I hope you understand.
