Carl of Staunton official is not a friend.
I only bought a chess game once in his shop. (and a 30% discount on the whole set of chess help me buy it :)

It was the 5/1/2017, for a marvelous reproduction of a Staunton 1851 chess game that I have been dreaming for a long time ... and the truth is, it was the only place I can find a game of chess, of that almost perfect quality.

A guy so bad as Carl, allow people to get a very good quality chess set that we will not find elsewhere.

I like the post too, i like giving my input with this topic.  I have a retinal degeneration, have my entire life, so I need to be able to see the pieces (I'm not as blind as you might think).  I love Zagreb, but the zagreb pieces on your site do not contrast like traditional zagreb pieces so I went for the set which the pieces are very unique colors and shapes.  I hate it when you move a piece too quickly thinking the piece in the corner of your eye is a knight when it was a bishop....really hate that, or even having to think what piece is that....waste of time.  So I like these pieces for the original color.  I do not like the pieces to match the color of the board either, black on black means I see black.  I chose the board because it does not match the white or the black pieces.  The black pieces and the white does not match the white pieces.  I do not like red pieces, nor do I like marble, or anything.  Very simple, very easy to see, and I really like the design of the knight in this set.
