You can use any puzzles, yes. It says that in the book and that is what the founder did initially. But, apparently, the puzzles in the woodpecker book have been especially selected. I think they are all from great games. It also gives a bit of background about the positions. But yes you work your way through the set every day for four weeks, have a day or two off then do the set again in half the time. You repeat the cycle 7 times in all, each time you’re supposed to be able to do it in half the time of the last set. The final set, ideally, is done in one day. The founder did 1000 puzzles or so in one day.
As I understand it, it’s to develop pattern recognition and help you develop your supersonic chess pants. I find I can focus especially well when I’m wearing woman's underwear.
I hope that helps and that all in the garden is good with you and your gorgeous girlfriend! ;o)
I recently learned about this new thing, Woodpecker method. It was invented just about ten years ago. Based on keep solving 'same set of puzzles' after some periods of time over and over again.. Puzzles are divided in 3 difficulty categories they say.
But i couldn't get how to find those puzzles? Any puzzles will do?
Plus i saw this on chessable website, is this a book or an online program? What is this?

Please help me to understand this
