yet another troll-thread on chaeters

This is yet another of the millions of troll-threads on chaeters, sometimes misspelt cheaters, and almost always misspelt just 'cheats' by me.

But this one is serious. Turn-based chess players, reading this may save your life.

It is rumoured that some people are so afraid of losing a chess game at chess.com that when they are about to be checkmated in 5 moves, they hire hitpersons to 'terminate' their opponent 'with extreme prejudice'. That is to say, they get opps 'taken out'.

Or so it is rumoured.

So people, next time you are on the verge of winning a game, ask yourself two questions:

1. what is more important? the game or your life?

2. is the hitperson *you* hired competent enough?

When you are 85 years old and narrating to preteen kids what all you did when you were young [after suitably retouching the past so that 'the spotlight shines on thee', of course], you will thank me for posting this.

Intresting idea but the assassin may carry out his work only for the person playing to find out that their opponent has set up a conditional move set creating a win for them, beyond the grave, oooo spooky halloween story haha:)

Oh I didnt think of the bots (conditionals)!

plus my point 2 has a flaw - A is playing B, game nearing end, A winning, A to protect herself/himself sends his Mrs Smith[1] to 'terminate B with extreme prejudice', B sends Mr Smith[1] to return he compliment to A, the Smiths both do their job never mind their comparative competence, and -

the rest of the game is still played out by the conditionals!

a cold-war-reminiscent MAD (Mutually Assured Destruction) plan - and finally only the bots live to fight another day ;)

[1]The allusion is to the Angelina Jolie [2] - Brad Pitt film 'Mr and Mrs Smith'.

[2] Yes, even today not *all* films have Keira Knightley in a female lead role - thank heavens for small mercies - not that I have anything against Ms Knightley but there is such a thing as too much of a thing - mind you, I am not saying too much of a good thing and I am not saying too much of a not-good thing... Okay she is a compatriot [or has she taken USA citizenship?] so a part of me is glad but only a very small part now and getting smaller every day...
