Can someone help me with ' Intermediate Draws ' Drill #5?

Hmm. I don't think it's an intermediate draw.
At any rate, the table base will give you the best method.

So what is it then? EZ draw? tough to draw? it feels like knowing this would give some benefits even though you probably never get this position in a game
Looks pretty tough to draw. Here's my best attempt at an analysis:
An extremely instructive study. Probably the key takeaways were to take distant opposition when you could, being aware of the waiting move ...g6 to force zugzwangs, and well-timed h5 moves to lock the position.

Thanks for the analysis. This is just way too complex for me.
I was hoping for some "technique" but it seems it's just one of those things you need to work at for a while idk...
This doesn't seem "intermediate" to me either. But as I see it, White can only hope to draw if he can keep the Black king from advancing up the board and squeezing him out. So, while I don't think there is any automatic "technique" to ensure the draw, we do have a pretty good idea of what we have to do. It's the "doing" that can be tricky! Here are a few idead

I think it’s been made overly-complicated.
We can forget h5 as a starting move for white as that’s going to end up losing the pawn.
If Black is able to get the king to f5 he obviously wins no matter what. So the only question is what happens when he gets to f6. It’s clear that the ideal move to meet that is Kh5 as that leaves black without any move to make progress.
Once you understand that, you see that the natural 1.Kg4 Kf7 puts white in trouble, he has to either lose contact with the h5 point, (2.Kf4 g6 is zugzwang) or go to h5 before he’s ready (2.Kh5 Kf6 you end up getting outflanked and having to take on g7 and lose h4).
So as well as being correct, by process of elimination 1.Kg3 is the only move that can work as moving the king backwards in the initial position doesn’t really make any sense.

wow this is gold. I mean when I walk through the engine moves on how stockfish draws this, I'm just like "OK, but why?..."
To read this explanation (about the very same moves, basically) as well as the thought process to find the solution is so helpful!
Process of elimination though is easier said than done as one must be able to calculate why this or that move is losing definitively, which is I guess a bit above my level... But with some work I'll get there I hope
Thank you!!
