can you give an explanation for why? the king can gradually move towards the a pawn but not in time to stop the bishop getting to B6, and then the bishop has to stand guard over the e pawn. How can any progress be made?

i don't see it. seems white will leave the king where it is and move the bishop back and forth along the e/a diagonal. i don't see how black can make progress.

I think he was joking it's most likely a draw
black is ahead by a pawn but white is only ever going to make waiting moves with the bishop to keep black off the diagonal. are there any tricks i missed?
