Relevant to nothing except studying endings- I just want to note that Mednis' book 'Practical knight endings' is excellent.
Lately, the way I've been studying endings is to go deep into a type that occurred in my recent games. Most recently it's been knight endings. Dvoretsky's chapter on knight endings was good but Mednis' book I've found to be excellent.
He gives general principles (in words so it tends to 'stick') and clear examples illustrating them of increasing complexity. It's well organized and clear. You can read the principles and look at the first example in each section to get an overview or go through the whole section to see more.
