This is a great book for beginners published by Simon and Schuster under the Fireside Book imprint in 1988. Unfortunately the book is spoilt by both typographic and chess errors (looks like it wasn’t copy edited). I want to gauge interest in setting up a petition by the community to get it corrected and reprinted? Let me know what you think?

I would be surprised if such a petition would persuade the publisher, Simon & Schuster, to reprint a corrected version, but would be glad to be shown wrong. That company has current books by authors of arguably questionable contribution (i.e. Schiller) as well as titles never reprinted from descriptive notation.
