Pawns and Kings. Warning: Not as easy as it appears.
Sorry MRO314, Balck wins is not the correct answer. I really isn't as easy as it appears to be.

Edit: Sorry, didn't see the footnote. If black plays b5 first he can win.. I'm not going to bother with this other line.

b5 before exchanging the rooks is not clear; but after the exchange is defineitely not a black win.
What are you talking about looking simple :) king and pawn endgames are nightmares!
Hmm, off the top of my head maybe f5 is an improvement to b5 -- after all the pawns on original squares (with choice between 1 and 2 moves) shouldn't be moved first in a battle for tempo. Also take a stab at the drawing move... is it Ke3 ? Not sure if it works, take a look.
hsbgowd: the rooks don't get exchanged until way later in the b5 demonstration i had posted - but i deleted it since you specified some moves first. If you want I can redo it to show you that this position, without your moves, is a black win (or possibly a draw, no one has solved chess yet).
@Tactchess, I would be happy to see that. In fact, that is the reason I posted the game from move 39 onwards; not from the position after the rooks were exchanged.
@Orangehonda, Ke3 is right but I missed it. I am not sure about f5 giving a black win, but will check and update here later.
Thank you.

41...f5 does not work
The only reason I play h4 is because after Kc3 white can't capture gxh4 so I'm not sure why you duplicate that move in your analysis of my move 41...f5 -- but you're right after the very simple move 42. a4 white easily has more tempo and the draw is obvious.
The only other moves to try to win with are then are b6 and g6. And actually, I don't know why I dismissed them so early -- I think either one can win the tempo game.
Ok... I'm changing my mind with an Edit
b6 is more accurate.
I don't know about that pawn ending...but one idea that definitely comes to mind is 40... Rc2. White's moves (and maybe days) are numbered.
You make it seem so simple lol. And it certainly looks like it will be easy after 40...Rc2 you're right. Black will have every advantage he could hope for in a rook endgame. His rook is active while white's is very passive on d3. His king will come in on c4, and white's pawns will have to fall... very good. Surely I wouldn't miss this in a tournament game... at least I hope
@Orangehonda, That was impressive. You even beat fritz at it. Fritz was unable to find a solution(I gave it 15 sec per move).
@tonydal: Ya, you are right. But, I avoided Rc2 because I saw(missed Ke3) a win with the exchange.

If you mean the Ke3 thing thanks :) my idea with f5 turned into an obvious draw after only 1 move
Checking it with my comp, it doesn't like Ke3 for a long time either heh.
What do you think should be the expected result of this game if both play to their best after 39.. Rc3+ 40.Rd3 Rxd3+?
EDIT: I did win after 41.. b5 but there was a draw. Can you find the draw here? Me and my opponent both overlooked this and I should say its one simple move yet very hard to find it.
