I think black is winning. If his 3 pieces work together they will be too strong for a lone queen. The passed d pawn is dangerous and white also needs to take a move to prevent back rank mate threats.
There's no way I would trade into this from being a clear minor and pawn up. You may be winning, but why complicate the process so much? Just trade down and take the point.

well, it's a game i feel pretty confident i can win and it was just a nice, unexpected tactic which would have got us to this position. i thought it might have made the game more interesting.
anyway i didn't go for this in the end, but i did try to sac a knight for two pawns a couple of moves later, but my opponent didn't go for it and just ended up losing yet another pawn.
this was the line i was thinking about going down to reach this position. i realise it throws away some of my advantage.
If you won the game its all gravy baby. It would have been a perfectly good way to simplify to a winning position anyway. I think its quite a nice combination and good for you that you saw it was possible. This time you judged it more risky than the alternative as you were unsure if you would be winning and thats fine. Perhaps in future a position will arise where you see this kind of ending as the best plan and you can do it with the confidence of knowing that 3 minor pieces will generally overpower a queen provided they are coordinated. All the best with the chess skills.
who would you favour in this ending? i was very tempted to trade down to this position from being a piece and a pawn up, but i wussed out in the end.
