I think looking at our own games in as many ways possible must be good. I think going over them backwards could result in seeing bad results linked to bad habits. If going move by move backwards, each move might not show something useful to you, but I'm show some moves will teach you something and some sequences and combinations will be good to see backwards. It will help with over all pattern recognition.
It's an old axiom that you should learn the end game first. If you have a solid understanding, you are more likely to transition into a winning end game. If you make a mistake and play backwards from there, you may avoid that mistake in the future.
