From the positions shown in the second diagram (1. Kxh4 g4 2. pxp and black wins
If white moves the king on move 2 instead of pxp, then Black queens before white, white checks on his queening, I don't see a way for white to win the h file pawn, looks like a draw at best for white. If white is not careful, black will exchange queens and the better placed king will take the last white pawn and queen his.
Unless I am missing something.
