Would you rather have a rook and draw odds vs. rook and bishop against someone 400 points higher or rook and bishop vs. rook against someone your level (with your opponent having draw odds)?

FarewellToKings2112

draw odds obviously

YEAT

I would like to have brejesh chakrabarti on my side

Lightning

This depends on how much time I have to play this position

If I've got enough time, I trust myself to win this as white. Otherwise, gimme the draw odds

Gigabyte_Malware

I didn't even understand the question

Chessking4640

no Draw odds by far I like grinding down opponents who cares if its a draw

d4Nf6Bg51-0

I don't know how to defend this so I rather take no draw odds.

tygxc

Draw odds of course.

Jimemy

I prefer to win if I can.

If you have draw odds, a draw is basically a win for you. In other words, would you rather try to win the diagram position with White or draw the diagram position with Black?

JamesColeman

Second option, easily. I think I’d hardly ever defend it vs a strong GM but I’d win it a reasonable amount against someone similarly inept as myself. (Yeah I’m aware it’s objectively a draw)

ChessEnthusiast48
In this position, unless there is a blunder, only white can play for a win here and black can only play for a draw. It would be a challenge to win for white here, so I would try to win the diagram position for white.

Just got the defending side in a rapid game: https://www.chess.com/game/live/51818961597

Go for the win is what I prefer.

eric0022

Neither. I am likely going to lose the extra bishop as White and lose the rook as Black.

curious-cat11

what!?!?

Andrewtopia

Depends on the time control. In blitz or bullet, I'll take the extra bishop. In rapid, I don't know, and in classical, I would take the draw odds.
