Hi! My name is Lauren Goodkind and I'm a chess coach and chess book author based in the San Francisco Bay Area. I agree with Aron. In some positions, the pawn is better, and sometimes, the queen is better. For example, you can promote the pawn to a knight, which can lead a win. A queen doesn't have that power.
I hope this helps.

Depends on the position.

@MarkofGreatness I believe a beginner player or any player in general would listen to a coach who has more experience with teaching than most. Sorry that you're so jealous.

Lauren happens to be a good person, good chess player, and a good coach.

In general, the queen is much better than the pawn. There are very little circumstances where a pawn is better than a queen. Queen is definitely better.

The pawn because it's the only piece that can capture without landing on another piece.

The pawn because the pawns can move on the first move while the queens can't

The pawn because the pawn can become a knight which is OBVIOUSLY stronger than a queen
#PawnsareGreat
The pawn because it is worth 1 point while the queen is worth 9 which makes it more valuable because you want to capture pieces with lower scores when playing chess.
