Am i progressing at a decent rate?

Hello everyone. Relatively new player here. I have played around 500 games with 270 of them being rapid. I have learned to avoid scholars mate, fried liver attack and similar early game traps(most of the time 😁). I know how to checkmate with queen+king, queen+rook, rook+rook. The basic stuff know about pins, forks, skewers, surprise attack, double check. I've also done a lot of beginner level lessons.

Right now im around 700(650-750)+ after an embarrassing loss streak. What do you suggest i do in order to improve? Yeah i still make blunders sometimes and im working on reducing them.

Is rapid 10 mind good? Should i play more blitz? I don't know if im just bad or i am progressing normally. I wanna get 1000 and i can play a lot of games.

I would appreciate any tips from more experienced players.

Play a lot, analyze your games, and primarily study tactics. Your knowledge of openings, endgame, middlegame, etc. will come from analyzing your games and going over grandmaster games. Only study one of those specific topics if it is clear you are specifically losing because of that topic.

As a coach, I can help you with any part of that process, as well as teach you EXACTLY how to think at every stage of the game. Good luck! happy.png
