That is something I tend to do fairly often, aggressively taking to deaden positions into simple states, which often I can try and win in an endgame. But in doing so I likely ignore opportunities to create advantages or create my own pressure. I'll have to look at a few games of mine and see how much this could come into practice.

I'm just looking for some basic tips to help improve my game. Things like dumb mistakes I frequently make or a simple idea that would help my gameplay. I'm not trying to revolutionize my game to be several hundred points higher or spend weeks to implement, just some basic ideas that can be easily noticed in a game, maybe I'm not getting certain pieces active early enough or am not castling at the right time or place, etc. Let me know some thoughts/suggestions or if I need to elaborate/give more information. I imagine my gameplay is low level enough it should not be difficult to spot rather clear mistakes for the numerous forum posters that are well beyond my level of play that can be explained in rather basic terms for people not versed in chess lingo such as myself.
