Should beginners(in my case, 500 points) use that function to automatically make a move once your opponent makes their move?

This function is only used when you have very little time. I would not advise you to play bullet or blitz with very little time (unless you think it is fun) because you will not learn any chess from it. Play at a time control that alows you to think before you move.

Daily chess, yes, you should use it at least for simple capture sequences so you can move the game along faster.   In daily, if you get it wrong, the response does not trigger though.   I don't know that it is useful in live apart from running out of time as noted.
