Beginner's queries

So I've been playing for almost 10 months now, regularly, except the 2 one month breaks I took due to some reasons. Now I want to improve as much as I can. And I read somewhere that playing long time control games with higher rated player will help in improving fast but the problem is that players who're better than me by 200-300 points don't want to play long games and obviously why would they. So any suggestions are welcome. I haven't studied any openings, endgames yet I just know the basics of ruy lopez not in much depth and some other opening structures like reti, English, Sicilian, Caro etc. So anyone who can guide me is welcome. My current rating is below 1200, it fluctuates near 1120. And yes one more question! Do you thinking crossing 2000 before this year ends is achievable without any professional guiding? Or 1800?
