Is there anyone you can play with in real life that is fairly atleast 1000 elo ? I think at this point it would be benificial if someone walked you through some basics over a real board. Everyone learns different, some learn by reading some learn by watching. You just have to find what works for you, But as long as you have fun !

basics are real issue what is basic in chess? everyone knows the piece moves - its after the first piece is played that whatever you thought you where going to do is now not going to happen becuase the other person knows what you are going to do - iam not upset at this game its just late in life like iam well old really i thought i pick up on this game that when i was young most of my elders played in the park - one thing on a bucket i thought before -well before it all over
winning is not really the issue its learning the game when you are behind the 8 eight ball so to speak-it took me three weeks to learn the pieces moves - but i still don't want to use a cheat sheet or software like some here do- i cheated enough in my life to get exactly where iam today - got news for you its nowhere but this computer screen watching others sail around the world others telling me i can get rich selling on ebay amazon thats a joke tried that lost a pile of money - chess seemed to me a honest game where the end is seen before you get to it i like that - i think i will just watch chess players play at on u-tube maybe there satifaction in that - its like watching hockey playoffs everyone in the living room has a opinion about what just happened even though they are not on the ice making the descions - now this is starting to sound like a rank iam sorry din't mean too so off to some games to lose and read othere comments
best part of this site is the forums i enjoy the comments wish there was more for beginners mind you - but thats ok i love to read ---- the games don't really matter anymore to me as there is no way i can win using regular thinking - everyone is smarter or is using a computer or is just well smarter than me -- i thats ok i set my advance points now only to make it move 15 or if i am playing a really bad player 18/20 at the outset most times i get to move 9/10 i tried to learn the opening moves they only work when someone actually plays into them fat chance that happens -- again its ok -- i still love to put in 50 game losses in a row before i go and play poker on pokerstars where i actually win i will keep reading the comments mind you maybe someone will come up with a way to get the root core of this game to beginners so they just don't plan suck thanks for the comment section again
