did you get better at chess or like you started and then smoothly reached an rating and you are stuck now. can you improve your rating after you are stuck or you just stay there forever?
I climbed up from struggling around 900 in rating, to (now) over 2300 in rating, over the course of many years.
Improvement is possible but it takes effort. You have to look critically at all your games and try to actively learn from your mistakes.
Every lost game is a learning opportunity in disguise ...

You should learn most important principles of a chess game. That will give you a solid understanding of a chess game and you will know what to do in every position. It takes a lot of effort, I do about 30-50 chess puzzles every day, and I always learn atleast 1 new thing that day. I combine this by repeating my openings atleast 10 times everyday, been doing this for about 4 months, I noticed a big improvement, I don't blunder as much and I have a greater understanding of the board and the pieces working together.
I also play against the computer a lot to cement what I learn while under pressure.
My biggest hurdle at the moment is that I get stressed when playing a real person, but it has gotten better the more I play.
