Chess.com rating issue

Hello, I am 700 blitz and 1150 rapid on my main account which is active since 2011. My issue is that my 700 blitz opponents in my main account are harder to beat then the 900/1000 blitz which I face on a new account on which I am rated 900, which makes no sense and I cannot understand why.

can you explain it to me?

That I really do not understand. perhaps it is just the specimen you ran into, people who's style does not agree with you... Sorry, but I cannot offer a more logical explanation.

There are a lot of decent players stuck at lower ratings I think for a bunch of reasons. I am because I suck at blitz but occasionally I play pretty well positionally because I "try" to emulate what I can do in rapid. I play much better thought out moves in rapid. Still though I have a tough time even topping 700 in blitz. The play at this level can be quite good at times.

Honestly, I've seen this. My guess is maybe it's higher rated players testing new openings or strategies. Who knows honestly? ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

On the other hand, hearing all these similar experiences from so many members, makes one realize that the problem is in the Online chess-system. A true beginner will most likely be rated 100 Glicko as inflation progresses.

I am currently rated around 700 Glicko, and my opponents are really good. They know opening theory and traps, middlegame tactics and how to convert lost endgames into wins.

I am giving you an update, after becoming more confident, since I was beating 1000 blitz on my new account, I finally crossed 900 rating (+200 in 2 weeks) and I can state that I was never a 700 but I couldnโ€™t beat players in that rating range consistently. I still donโ€™t know why, but now players are easier to beat, I mean I donโ€™t see much difference in players power now that I play against 900-1000 respect to 700. Maybe the only difference is consistency.

a true beginner, so someone who starts playing chess today, cannot have a chance at winning against 300-400, I agree
