Chess is a soul crushing game 🥲

I just lost the best game I played. No Blunders. Nothing. Good opening, good middlegame, one slight inaccuracy in the endgame and it was all over.

I think a lot of disappointment comes from rating pressure. With all the online chess exposure, there's always a discontent with what you have. When I was 800, I wanted to get to 900. Then 1000 was a huge deal. I eventually rose to 1100. But that wasn't enough. I worked very hard to reach 1200+. Right now, I am 1300. But now 1300 feels less.

I remember an year ago when I had just started playing. It was enjoyable. I liked playing. Wins and losses didn't matter. Now I have started playing just for improving my rating, as if that is supposed to be the main point.
